Reuter Walton Development developed two options for its proposed redevelopment of the Perkins overlooking Highway 100 in Edina. City Council members preferred an all-residential project over one that included a separate office building.

St. Louis Park-based developer Reuter Walton plans to break ground this fall on a $63.9 million project that will bring more than 240 affordable housing units — including an unusual offering of units at 30% area median income — to St. Paul’s Hamline-Midway Neighborhood.

Two separate student housing complexes near the University of Minnesota sold for a combined $51 million.

A 12-story rental building will be built on what developers say is the last available redevelopment parcel in the Mill District. The project will cost about $75 million.
